GAINESVILLE - Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia will celebrate the bank’s one-year anniversary September 14 – 18, 2009. The bank opened for business on September 15, 2008 at a temporary location at Townview Plaza and on October 6th, moved to their permanent headquarters at 643 E. E. Butler Parkway.

Jody Lail, President and CEO, invites the community to join the staff for the celebration. “We are pleased to celebrate our first year of serving the banking needs of Hall County. Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia is in a unique position as a highly-capitalized community bank with money to lend. I invite the community to visit during our week-long celebration to get to know our staff.”

Board Chairman Jim Walters added, "We are extremely pleased with the response received from the community to date, and look forward to continuing to serve the banking needs of Gainesville/Hall County for many years to come."

September is Hunger Action month, where food banks across the nation join in a call to action for Americans to get involved in fighting hunger. Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia invites the community to donate to the food drive and help fight hunger in our community.

The Bank is hosting a food drive in partnership with the Georgia Mountain Food Bank during the week of September 14th. While supplies last, a free Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia grocery tote bag will be given to anyone who contributes non-perishable food items to the food bank. The food bank can accept food packed in cans, boxes and plastic. Baby items are always needed including diapers, powdered infant formula, baby wipes and baby cereal (no jarred or canned baby food).
