Georgia Mountain Food Bank (GMFB) continues to make a difference because of the support of our local communities and people like you. With your help, our work has the power to help families, change lives and impact futures. The three main ways to give to GMFB are through your time, your monetary gifts and donation of food. No matter in what way you choose to give, GMFB thanks you for helping us address hunger, health and quality of life in our community. Click one of the three links below to learn more!
Volunteers play a critical role in the success of Georgia Mountain Food Bank. We always need solid volunteers to help gather canned goods from different locations, stock our shelves, keep track of inventory and help us run GMFB events. We can tailor a volunteer role to accomodate your specific needs and schedule. Volunteers like you are absolutely essential in helping GMFB accomplish our mission.
GMFB serves on average more than 22,000 people each month through our network of partner agencies. We could not help so many people in need without your financial support. In fact, one dollar at GMFB can provide food for five meals. Therefore, every dollar given to GMFB is treated with respect and deep gratitude because of the immense impact we know each and every dollar can have on the lives of those in need in our community.
GMFB operates as a food distribution warehouse. Therefore food donations are always welcome and appreciated. GMFB's Boomershine Family Logistics Facility houses a dry warehouse space with loading docks, a cold storage area, and a large freezer space so that we store larger quantities of food supply to distribute to those in need. You can donate food through in-kind donations, hosting a food drive or through our Food Rescue Program.
For more information about how you can give to GMFB, or to request a list of "most wanted" items for our warehouse or food drives, call 770-534-4111. GMFB is a 501(c) (3) organization so your gift is tax deductible as permitted by law.
