Give SupportThe Georgia Mountain Food Bank is working to close the food gap for individuals and families in need. Since 2008, over 1.2 million pounds of food has flowed through our warehouse. Though we are working hard to meet the need, we are still falling short of the demand and we need your help. Please consider a gift to the food bank to support our capacity to sustain North Georgia hunger fighting organizations. Our plans are to acquire warehouse space equipped with freezer and cooler storage. Once in place, the food bank can seek and warehouse more food to be made available to local nonprofits. Local businesses and manufacturers can make regular donations of surplus food to be distributed among a wide variety of charitable organizations. Volunteers can play a part by collecting and sorting food at the food bank warehouse. Perishable donations, rather than going straight to dumpsters, can go directly into the hands of those in need. You might choose to make a general support gift or a designated (special purpose) gift. If you would like to learn more about the food bank's current needs, please give us a call at (770)967-0075. You may choose to give your gift in memory or honor of a loved one. We will send an acknowledgement to you and to the person or family your gift honors.
