School Programs provide food for kids in the summer, too“With summer school programs feeding 500-600 children per day, clearly there is a gap to be filled to ensure our children receive the proper nutrition they need to thrive all year long. There are a number of ways to fill these gaps such as after-school programs, weekend backpacks and meals provided during school breaks. The Georgia Mountain Food Bank is seeking partners to participate in this summer’s pilot lunch bag program at the Boys and Girls Club of Gainesville/Hall County. The program is planned for the entire month of July. With your help, we can expand this program to serve children in need in all of our communities. To become a part of this extended summer feeding program, please contact the food bank at (770)967-0075.” For the related article published in the Gainesville Times, please follow this link: http://www.gainesvilletimes.com/news/article/33746/
