Thanksgiving message to our volunteersIn this season of Thanksgiving, we offer our sincere thanks to you for volunteering at the Georgia Mountain Food Bank. This fall, with your help, the Georgia Mountain Food Bank was able to help feed several thousand children, seniors and families in our community. We are overwhelmed by the genuine spirit of compassion that you and 200 others have shown for friends in need! Not only are we thankful for your service, we are thankful for your friendship! This year has certainly been challenging for us all. So many lives have been affected by our economic situation. So many more of us have had to reach out for help. It has been very uplifting to see people come together, work together, to help one another. Here at the Georgia Mountain Food Bank, we are building. We are building to better serve the food pantries, the churches, the shelters, the soup kitchens and the group homes that depend on us to help feed people. Now more than ever, we need community support. To fill in the gaps of food insecurity and hunger, we need financial contributions, food donations, volunteers and advocacy. Northeast Georgia is rich in resources: beauty, people, spirit, industry and so much more. This is a wonderful place to live. The people here are a giving and caring society. You are important part of what makes this community so special! We thank you for generous contribution of self and service to the fight against hunger here. In the season of Thanksgiving and all through the year, we are grateful to you! WARMEST WISHES FOR A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING! From everyone at The Georgia Mountain Food Bank |
Every gift is deeply appreciated and will help us care for the hungry in North Georgia.
