’Twas the Night Before Greens for Good
’Twas the night before Greens for Good, and all through the land,
Volunteers made preparations with a helping hand.
The raffle prizes were stacked and the scorecards were set,
In hopes that this tournament would be the best one yet.
Golf bags stood ready by doorways with care,
While dreams of birdies and long drives filled the air.
Sponsors and donors, supporters so true,
Had rallied together to see this event through.
For this isn’t just golf, though fairways we’ll roam,
It’s about helping neighbors and strengthening home.
Every swing, every putt, every laugh and high-five,
Helps keep hope in our community alive.
Tomorrow we’ll gather beneath morning skies,
With a mission much greater than trophies and prizes.
We’ll tee off against hunger, one shot at a time,
Turning generosity into something sublime.
So rest easy tonight, all players and friends,
For tomorrow the impact of your kindness begins.
The inaugural tournament is finally in sight—
Greens for Good awaits us at first morning light.
And as carts line the fairways and the first golfers stand,
We’ll remember the purpose behind every planned hand:
To ensure that our neighbors have food on their plates,
And together create brighter futures and fates.
