Behind the Mission: Meet Cynthia! 🌟💚
Ever wonder how our food bank helps connect our neighbors with resources beyond food? Meet our amazing Benefits Coordinator, Cynthia, who goes above and beyond to connect our neighbors with valuable resources and support! She helps navigate benefits, understand eligibility requirements, and access resources such as SNAP, WIC, CAPS, and Medicaid. It’s clear that helping others is more than just a job to her. It’s her passion!
We recently received this wonderful feedback from Scott at St. Paul Methodist Church, and we just had to share it!
“You certainly made the right hire when you brought Cynthia Hernandez on board to do benefits outreach. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about benefits and all the requirements, but she is so welcoming to all our guests and has the perfect amount of empathy. It shows that her job is her passion.”
During their recent pantry day, Cynthia assisted 7 guests in person and is following up with 2 additional guests by phone to help them complete paperwork and access benefits.
Cynthia, THANK YOU for the heart, knowledge, and compassion you bring to our community every day!
