2025 Bowl Painting Parties

The Annual Empty Bowl Luncheon hosted by the Georgia Mountain Food Bank is a fundraising event aimed at raising awareness and funds to combat hunger in our five-county service area.  Each year in September, which is also Hunger Action Month, our community advocates are served a modest lunch and take home a hand-painted bowl, not as a memento, but to serve as a reminder of all the empty bowls they helped fill with their attendance at the luncheon.

During the months of January through mid-August, if you or your company, school, church, civic group, etc. would like to help and paint the take home bowls and are interested in scheduling a bowl painting party, email frontdesk@gmfb.org or call 770-534-4111.

Each bowl you paint is a $10 donation and provides 50 meals to our neighbors in need, so your contribution makes a significant impact.

Thank you for helping us prepare for Empty Bowl 2025 and your support of the mission of the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.  Please fill out the painting kit request form below, donations should be made before kit pick up.

Please note that the deadline for all bowls and painting kits to be returned so that they can be fired and available at the 2025 Empty Bowl is no later than August 13.  Any bowls returned after that date will be saved for the 2026 Empty Bowl Fundraiser.
