Georgia Mountain Food Bank’s Annual Empty Bowl Lunch is a fundraising event where community members can enjoy a great lunch while supporting our cause. The event includes several meal options donated by our corporate sponsors, a silent auction and a presentation regarding the impact that GMFB is making across North Georgia. Along with a tasty lunch, guests will take home a hand-painted bowl as a thank you, and as a reminder of our goal to eliminate empty bowls and empty stomachs in our communities. These beautiful and unique bowls are made available through community donations. The money raised at the Empty Bowl Lunch supports our programs throughout the year.

How You Can Help
A $30 donation provides a delicious lunch and a painted bowl to take home as a memento of our event. Every donation helps, especially since $30 allows us to provide more than 150 meals to those in need across our service area! To buy an individual ticket or make a donation, please call 770-534-4111.
Buy a Table
We want you and your business to have the opportunity to reserve a table at our lunch, to invite friends to attend the event with you, and to learn more about our cause. Each table of ten will be reserved with your name (or that of your business), so that you can easily find your seats.
Be a Sponsor
Fulfilling our mission would not be possible without impactful sponsors. Empty Bowl sponsor donations will be used throughout the year to help support our many programs that aim to eliminate hunger in our community.
Bowl Painting Parties
We count on the community to paint bowls for our Empty Bowl Luncheon. Every guest at the Lunch in September chooses a hand-painted bowl to take home as a reminder that they are helping to fill empty bowls in our community. The beauty of painting a bowl to donate to the event is that the individual is giving a piece of themselves, expressed uniquely, to support the mission of GMFB, “till no one is hungry”. A great experience for children and families! Each bowl painted can help provide up to 50 meals! Now, you can host your own family in a “bowl painting party”! GMFB can drop off a painting supply kit directly to your home and pick up 24-48 hours later. For a donation of $50.00, the kit includes 4 bowls and all supplies. At this time, limited to Gainesville city limits. Email Sara at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Bid in the Online Auction
Place your bid on hand-painted bowls signed by local, regional and nationally recognized business leaders, athletes and entertainers. You do NOT have to present at the Empty Bowl Lunch to be declared the winning bidder.
